বাংলাদেশে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং: একটি উন্নয়ন প্রস্তাবনা|Islamic Banking in Bangladesh A Proposal for Improvement

Abstract

Even though the Islamic banking industry in Bangladesh has achieved “systematic importance” within the country’s banking sector, it still falls behind in taking qualitative initiatives. This article in employing an empirical method, tries to present the current position of Islamic banking in Bangladesh based on past several years’ data, and offer a comparative analysis of Islamic banking with conventional banking. By exploring the experiences of other countries. This paper attempts to recommend for some eleven point proposals which may further the advancement of Islamic banking sector in Bangladesh.  

সারসংক্ষেপ: ব্যাংকিং খাতে প্রতিনিধিত্বের দিক থেকে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং বাংলাদেশে "সিস্টেম্যাটিক ইম্পর্টেন্স" অর্জন করেছে ঠিকই, কিন্তু গুণগত মানোন্নয়নে নেয়া উদ্যোগের যথেষ্ট অভাব আছে বলে মনে করা হয়। এই প্রবন্ধে কয়েক বছরের তথ্যের উপর ভিত্তি করে বাংলাদেশে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিংয়ের বর্তমান অবস্থান উপস্থাপন করা হয়েছে। প্রচলিত ধারার ব্যাংকিংয়ের সাথে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিংয়ের একটি তুলনামূলক অবস্থানও দেখানো হয়েছে এখানে। অন্যান্য দেশের অভিজ্ঞতার উপর ভিত্তি করে বাংলাদেশে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিংয়ের ভবিষ্যৎ মানোন্নয়নে করণীয় এগারোটি প্রস্তাব উপস্থাপন করা হয়েছে এই প্রবন্ধে।
